SolutionBase: Get a handle on GNOME settings with Gconf-edit

The first thing you should notice is the left panel. Remember the directory structure I mentioned earlier? Look familiar? The / root directory of the Gconf directory tree is actually the ~./gconf directory (not the / directory of the Linux system.) Below that are the directories located within the ~./gconf directory.
Also of note, in the opening screen, is the Key Documentation section. As you can see there are four entries: Key Name, Key Owner, Short Description, and Long Description. Now, let's take a look at the same directory we examined above. If you click to reveal the subdirectories within the apps directory you will see the evolution subdirectory.
