Helix nebula
NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, an infrared space-based observatory, took this infrared view of the Helix nebula. Spitzer opened the eyes of astronomers with this image showing space dust that probably came from comets which survived the death of their sun. The Helix nebula is about 700 light years from Earth.
