HRP-3 Promet Mk-II
Clad in white for the summer season, the newest humanoid robot from Japan's Kawada Industries and partners took center stage Thursday before launching into a demonstration of its skills. The HRP-3 Promet Mk-II stands just over 5 feet tall and weighs about 150 pounds. It's flanked by the HRP-3 Prototype (right) and its predecessor, HRP-2 Promet (left), developed jointly by Kawada, Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, and Kawasaki's heavy industry unit.
