Tech camps are on the rise, with a 16 percent increase in computer camps in particular since 2000. But this is not just C++ for the nerd crowd. Campers are offered the latest technology used by professionals as their playground.

ID Tech Camps, for kids ages 7 to 17, offer 3D game design (shown here), video making, Web design and robotics, in addition to activities like Karaoke, Dance Dance Revolution, sports, board games, movie nights and talent shows.
