almostEverest revisited
As mentioned in the Classics Rock blog entry on the subject, almostEverest was a project in the early days of TechRepublic. TR Editors Michael Jackman and David Bard loaded up with the latest tech equipment and headed for the mountains in Nepal to see how they'd fare. The they in this case being both the equipment and themselves. By and large, the equipment held up better.
Here's a photo retrospective of the trip that occurred back in April and May of 2000.
This was the logo used on TechRepublic and in the daily TrekMails that went out to TechRepublic members about the trip.
