Lightscoop

The $30 Lightscoop, which is for digital SLRs, is small enough to fit in your hand, but it acts like a professional reflector umbrella to defuse light. According to Pogue's review, it "eliminates red-eye and the 'cave effect,' where the room background comes out looking black."

Here are two models of the Lightscoop, standard and warming.

According to Lightscoop's Web site, many of its products sold out soon after Pogue's review came out on Thursday.
