The 2007 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show is the place where serious car geeks go to get their fix.

Automakers, tuners, accessories companies, aftermarket parts retailers, and electronics manufacturers gather to show off their latest gear, often using extremely cool cars and modifications (aka mods) to do so.

For 2006, the specialty car-equipment market was a $36.7 billion industry, according to SEMA. This year's SEMA show, which started Tuesday and runs through Friday in Las Vegas, is expected to host 2,000 exhibitors and over 125,000 attendees.

The show is closed to the public, but we've captured some of the new reveals and far-out mods.

Toyota showed off the Scion xD Widebody, a popular car for the DIY mod crowd, with a makeover from Five Axis Designs in a bright papaya color. The most noticeable addition is a mouth-like gap added to the front of the car's body.
