The thumbnail tab has settings that affect how Image Viewer handles, stores and generates thumbnails.

The only setting on this screen I would take note of is the Use Thumbnail Database checkbox.

For performance reasons, this should be checked on most machines. However, if you must have completely accurate thumbnails, you can uncheck this and they will be generated dynamically.
