Photos: Laptops at CeBit
CeBit 2007 is kicking off in unprecedentedly clement weather for northern Germany in mid-March--sunshine, gentle zephyrs, blossom on the trees. It's enough to put a spring in the step of the tech journalists tramping the 26 exhibition halls in search of news and photo/video opportunities.
This Asus notebook, which doesn't yet have a model name, is the successor to the company's R2H model and is one of a number of second-generation ultramobile PCs at the show. (The first generation of UMPCs debuted at last year's CeBit .) The convertible device (from clamshell to tablet) has a 7-inch 800x480-pixel TFT screen and includes a camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS capabilities.
