The good: Solid video quality and reception; excellent remote, especially for those with poor eyesight; easy-to-use basic EPG; works with Smart Antennas.
The bad: No guided setup; initial setup can be a bit tricky; composite video cable not included.
The bottom line: Good reception, respectable video quality, and a basic EPG make the RCA DTA800 an excellent DTV converter box, despite some slightly tricky setup snags.
Price range: $60, but the U.S. government offers $40 coupons for the devices
