Photos: Apple unleashes fastest Mac ever
Just a week before Macworld, Apple unveils its fastest Mac ever--a Mac Pro with eight processor cores and a new system architecture. Apple claims its two Intel 45 nanometer Quad-Core Xeon processors running up to 3.2 GHz will double the power of its predecessor.
The new Mac will possess a 1600 MHz front side bus and up to 32GB of 800 MHz memory. It comes with an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card with 256MB of video memory.
The standard 8-core Mac Pro will cost $2,799.
