The evening was emceed by Aasif Mandvi, a "correspondent" for comedy news show The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Mandvi pretended that he was actually just filling in for fellow Comedy Central pundit Stephen Colbert, and proceeded to do an impression of Colbert that included angrily pointing a pen as he lectured the crowd.
