Photos: GM, Ford rev up NY auto show

General Motors jump-started the New York International Auto Show, and possibly a few hearts, with a backbeat-heavy unveiling of three concept minicars bearing musically inspired names. Pictured here is the Chevrolet Groove, which features front-wheel drive and a 1-liter diesel engine.

The auto show is doing previews for journalists on Wednesday and Thursday, then opens to the public Friday.
