Photos: Motion-sensing phones
The Sharp V603SH, sold by Vodafone in Japan since 2005, uses accelerometer and magnetic-sensor technology to allow customers to scroll through a menu by moving the handset up, down, left or right. The motion-sensing technology also can turn the phone into a controller for mobile games, allowing people to aim it as if it were a gun for shooting games and swing it like a golf club to hit balls in a golfing game.
