The ubiquity of video recording capabilities in cell phones and other pocket gadgets has turned regular folks who happen upon crimes, celebrity gaffes and civil catastrophes into photojournalists. And with sites such as YouTube and Revver.com making video uploads and searches easier, millions of Web users can witness these events from a you-were-there perspective.
In addition to the coverage of the July 2005 London bombings by the mainstream press, it was possible to view snapshots from ordinary citizens who uploaded their photos to sites such as Flickr and moblog.co.uk. Here, a "moblogger" takes a picture of commuters on the London Underground as they evacuate the tunnels after the bombing. The
