Jeff Long, who lives just outside Gold Beach, Ore., took this picture Monday from a National Forest road 33 facing the Bear Camp Road area (the snowcap) near where the Kim family was rescued.
Long has never met James Kim, but credits his reviews on the now-defunct TechTV for first sparking his interest in technology, particularly in cameras. "I owe him a lot of gratitude," Long said of Kim. Long, who owns a hybrid vehicle, rented a more suitable car Monday in order to help look for Kim.
