Photos: A high-tech museum for news junkies

The new Newseum, which opened in Washington, D.C., last weekend, has filled one of the last available spaces on Pennsylvania Avenue between the White House and the Capitol building. The $450 million museum traces the development of news over time, and how technological advances--from line art in newspapers to TV helicopters to the Internet--have changed how it's delivered and presented. Admission is $20.

One of the Newseum's most prominent features is its front facade, which includes the full text of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
