Photos: Nissan electric Cube at the NY auto show

Nissan showed off its electric-powered concept vehicle at the 2008 New York auto show. Based on Nissan's existing Cube small car, currently sold in Japan, the Denki Cube concept uses an electric powertrain with lithium-ion batteries.

The look of the Denki Cube is already known in Japan, where a 1.3-liter four cylinder gas version has already been on sale. However, this electric version is stretched 9.4 inches to accommodate the battery pack.
