ParaSITE structure
In addition to designs that can be adapted to a variety of landscapes and communities around the world, the Open Architecture Network features many approaches to highly localized problems, such as urban homelessness in the United States. These inflatable paraSITE structures attach to building vents, using the hot air blowing out to inflate. The intake tube can adapt to various sizes and shapes of vents. Once deflated, handles on the shelter allow it to be carried by hand.
