Vista Red

Microsoft and Dell are teaming up with the (Product) Red campaign to offer three specially branded PCs. The companies will donate a portion of sales to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

The (Product) Red campaign, created by rock star Bono and philanthropist Bobby Shriver, kicked off in the United States in October 2006. Among the companies that have participated are Apple, Gap, and Motorola.

It's tough to brand an operating system, but Microsoft has tried to do its best with (Product) Red-themed backgrounds, screen savers, and gadgets. Shown here, the Red version of Vista is basically Vista Ultimate, with the Red-branded add-ons.
