Photos: Following the evolution of 'Spore'

Renowned game designer Will Wright speaking at the 2007 South by Southwest Interactive conference in Austin, Texas, about Spore, which will be released simultaneously on PCs and Macs, Electronic Arts announced Tuesday. Wright first came to prominence with SimCity and later created The Sims, which became the best-selling PC game of all time and spawned an empire. At SXSWi, Wright suggested that Spore has a lot in common with an elaborate Montessori toy.
