Nintendo Wii

With Black Friday behind us, it's time to see who/what did the most damage among consumers so far this year. ComScore, which tracks Web shopping, counted $531 million in online retail spending on the day after Thanksgiving alone, which is a 22 percent jump over last year's Black Friday shop-a-palooza.

Gadgets always doing well among online buyers come holiday time, and this year was no exception. The No. 1 seller (or most referred item) for the entire Thanksgiving holiday weekend for Pricegrabber.com, an online comparison shopping service, was the Nintendo Wii. The next-generation console from Nintendo was released just a year ago, when demand far outstripped supply, causing Wii shortages all over the U.S. This year, the ramped-up production meant a 467-percent rise in purchases on Pricegrabber alone. While the Xbox 360 from Microsoft cracked Pricegrabber's top 15 products, neither Sony's PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 2 did.
