Photos: A modular solar home takes root
"Green" homes, coming right up. PowerHouse Enterprise has designed a house--which could attain official green-building certification--that is delivered by flat-bed truck and crane. In June, the Lawrence, Mass.-based company shipped a two-unit model home to a site in Cambridge, Mass.
The home, which consists of two units that share a common wall, is still under construction, but CNET News.com toured the site with one of its builders to get a peek at its environmentally friendly features, including a passive solar heating system.
